In Vitro Fertilization
In vitro fertilization refers to fertility treatment programs where eggs are collected and fertilized in the laboratory.
In vitro fertilization covers two main fertility treatment options:
1) Routine in vitro fertilization (IVF) where fertilization is carried out by placing many sperm with an egg in a dish in the laboratory, and
2) ICSI (intra cytoplasmic sperm injection) whereby fertilization is achieved by injecting one sperm into each egg.
